'Colin Morris gives a terrifying performance as Alberich in this scene from “Das Rheingold” in which Somtow’s Nibelheim creates a disturbing connection between many Asian countries’ flouting of child labour laws. The Nibelungs are played by actual orphans from Bangkok’s “Ban Tung Mahamek” who really took this opportunity to get enthusiastically involved with a world they had never encountered before.'
